RULES

  • ALL students who have a COSTUME change MUST wear spaghetti strap style/skin-colored leotard UNDER their tights. Skin-colored leotards can be purchased at Bellissimo, through us, Walmart or Amazon. 
  • Young Children/Minis:  Parents, PLEASE take your minis to the bathroom PRIOR to putting their costume on/prior to check-in. Do not put your child in underpants for costumes with tights. Their tights have cotton crotch to avoid panties being seen on the stage. There are changing stations and a large bathroom for you to put minis in their 1st costume upon arrival.
  • BALLET, Ballet minis, B/T minis, Ballet/Modern, Ballet/Lyrical: ALL students MUST have NEW Weissman ballet tights for shows. Any student showing up in tights with holes/snags will be required to purchase NEW ones at the venue and your account will be charged.  Ballet/Lyrical TUES class please have your class leotard to go with your costume.
  • Tap, Contemporary, Jazz: MUST bring PLAIN black leggings and black leotard. NO writing/NO logos. Tap, jazz may wear black no-show socks.
  • Hip Hop: plain black leggings or plain black joggers, black socks. Bring hip hop shoes in a bag. Pair with Concordia T-shirt for hip Hop minis and Hip Hop elementary. HH/Tumble uniform metallic blue leotard with black leggings. Adv Hip Hop bring a plain white T-shirt. Socks – must be black.
  • Company:  Company uniform, bring jacket
  • int and adv Modern:  bring skin-toned footless tights and black leotard, a skirt will be provided for costume accessory
  • Hair/Make-up: must be done before you arrive.  Scroll down for instructions.
  • NO FOOD backstage. Water bottles ONLY (no glass). This is a VENUE rule. Your student will be allowed to snack/eat in the lobby when they are not needed on stage during rehearsal.
  • We are not responsible for any items your child brings back stage. There will be games and coloring items provided for students.
  • To purchase a ballet dance bear for your student, please Venmo @concordiaartsacademy $24.95 with your child’s name and “dance bear” in the note. Your child will receive this special gift at the show!

  • Call times: Students check-in at their earliest call time. Parents, it is important to read everything thoroughly to know which show your child is in/check-in time/instructions:

  • 2:30pm: Ballet Levels 4, 5, 6, Pointe 2/3, Aerial 4/5, Sr. Company
  • 3:30pm:  Adv Modern, Adv Jazz (REHEARSAL ONLY-these 2 classes rehearse Sun and perform Mon)
  • 3:50pm: Ballet Level 3 Thursday, Adv Hip Hop, Jr. Company, Int Jazz  
  • 4:00pm: Tap 4, Adv Contemporary, intermediate Modern
  • 4:30pm:  Ballet/Lyrical Wed, ACRO 2, Minis Company, Hip Hop Elem Wed, HH/Tumble Wed,  
  • 5:00pm:  Tap1, Ballet 1, Ballet Minis Monday, B/T Minis Fri, Hip Hop Minis

 MONDAY, DEC 21st (rehearsal/check-in times for performance):

  • 4:00pm: Ballet 2, Ballet 3 Wednesday, Tap 2, Tap 3, Pointe 2/3, Sr. Company: 
  • 4:30pm: Ballet/Lyrical Tues, Aerial 4/5, Acro 1, Adv Modern, Int Contemporary, Adv Jazz, Jazz 1, Mini Co., Jr. Co.
  • 4:45pm: Hip Hop Friday, Hip Hop/Tumble Mon, Ballet/Modern,
  • 5:00pm:  Ballet Minis Thursday, B/T minis Mon, BOYS Hip Hop
